Retired Captain Don Laws was a Tennessee Armed Guard, Certified Tennessee Guard Trainer, Firearms Instructor, and operated a Tennessee Handgun Permit School. Mr. Laws was an Active Shooter instructor, force on force instructor and was trained in hostage negotiations. Mr. Laws earned a distinguished award from the United States Department of Justice in 2017 for officer of excellence. Mr. Laws was a current member of the Tennessee Law Enforcement Training Officer's Association, Fraternal Order Of Police and the Police Benevolent Association.
